Inspired by my mum, and the beautiful Michael Kiwanuka song "Home Again", this illustration is the result of my reflection on the role of parents and mums in particular and their significance to their children. From when we are born our mums are a constant source of support, a lifeline for us as children, protecting and nourishing us until we flourish into individuals, The idea of being without that source of vitality is difficult. More broadly the role of women as almost an infinite fountain of life, is beautiful and special, and deserves admiration.
